The most significant business and social function organised annually by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber is the “Official Dinner”.
The Chamber organises on an annual basis an Annual Dinner Dance. While this was initially the social event of which in addition to the Chamber Members Guests and other business associates were invited, since the introduction of the “Official Dinner”, this Event is now inclusively for the Chamber’s Members and only for selected guests.
The Dinner Dance provides the opportunity for Members to socialise and enjoy a pre-dinner drink, followed by a dinner with music entertainment.
Within the framework of the Chamber’s continuous socio-economic and philanthropic contribution the Chamber twice per year organises blood donation drives and encourages all its Member-companies to participate.
In appreciation of the Chamber Members’ contribution in excess which has surpassed 3300 units of blood over the years, the Chamber has been presented with a special honorary award by the District of Limassol Blood Donation Co-ordinating Committee.
The Charity Beach-Volley Tournament is the Chamber’s main Annual Sporting/Charity Event. The Tournament is organised by the Chamber with great success since 1996.
The high participation of Chamber Members at the Beach-Volley Tournament shows their great interest in contributing financially for a good cause and at the same time enjoy a friendly competition among colleagues and friends.
The net proceeds from the Charity Beach-Volley Tournament are donated to the “One Dream One Wish” Children’s Charity Association, which fulfils the wishes of children suffering from cancer and related diseases.
