Covid-19 Update / Chamber’s Office re-opening on Skeleton Employees Schedule, on 4 May 2020

Dear Associates/Members,

The Chamber’s Secretariat has been working from home since 18 March 2020, due to the Covid-19 outbreak in Cyprus. Further to yesterday’s decision by the Council of Ministers to proceed with a gradual lifting of the restriction measures, kindly note that the Chamber’s Office will re-open on a Skeleton Employees Schedule, as of Monday, 4 May 2020.

Feeling the responsibility to continue supporting the Government’s efforts, to prevent as much as possible another spread of the COVID-19, the Chamber is limiting all face-to-face meeting activity at its offices, to only very urgent/necessary visits, in addition to any Chamber committee meeting which again will be conducted via teleconference facilities until further notice.

In this respect, we kindly request those who will visit our offices, to follow the below precautionary actions, further to the epidemiological protocols and the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health:

  1. Visitors must wear a suitable mask and disinfect their hands before entering the office. Hand disinfection stations will be placed at visible points including entry/ exit points around the office.
  2. Visitors must maintain a distance of at least two (2) meters with Secretariat’s employees and among them.
  3. The entry of visitors will be controlled to the maximum allowable number of persons, to be present at the same time in the place is not exceeded.
  4. Visitors should familiarize themselves with the various posters and announcements placed at appropriate and visible points at the Chamber’s office and follow applicable instructions
  5. Visitors must clean their personal items which they bring with them at the Chamber’s office, such as bags, glasses, cell phones and tablets with disinfectant, such as disinfectant wipes.

Kindly note that in addition to the above, the Chamber is taking additional internal measures, aiming to safeguard the health and safety of the Chamber’s Members, employees and other stakeholders as well as to continue the normal operation of the Secretariat work and services offered to its Members.

Our top priority is the safety of the people while doing whatever is necessary to keep our Members interests safeguarded. We would like to thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
