Women International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA), a professional networking organisation for women in the Maritime industry, with almost 3000 members from around the globe, has carried out on Wednesday 4 October its annual elections during their WISTA Annual General Meeting in Rotterdam.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber is very honoured to announce that Mrs. Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou, President of WISTA Cyprus, Board Member of the Chamber and Managing Director of Tototheo Maritime Ltd, has been unanimously elected as the President of WISTA following a relevant electoral procedure.

The election of Mrs. Theodosiou as the President of WISTA International, is of great importance as it raises even more the profile of Cyprus on a global scale as a leading Maritime centre that supports “the voice of women” in Shipping. Extending the congratulations, the Chamber is proud to have one of its Board Members at the presidency of such high calibre association committed on the important efforts in promoting the advancement of women in the the Maritime industry.
