As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, donated the amount of €10,500, to the Cyprus Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases "One Dream One Wish".

The amount was raised from two successful events organised by the Shipping Chamber, the Charity Beach Volley Tournament organised in September 2017 and the “Reggata” sailing event organised in October 2017. Both events were greatly supported by the Chamber’s Members which are a viable part of this significant charitable donation.

The cheque was presented during the Cyprus Shipping Chamber’s Monthly Members’ Meeting on 16 November 2017, organised at the “Four Seasons” Hotel in Limassol, by the President of the Chamber, Mr. Themis Papadopoulos to the President of the Association, Mr. George Penintaex.

The Shipping Chamber supports for many years now, with its charitable events, the commendable efforts of the “One Dream, One Wish” Association hoping to offer the opportunity to the children who are suffering from cancer, to come one step closer to their dreams and wishes, as well as, to provide the corresponding financial support to their families, demonstrating in this way, the important contribution of the Cyprus Shipping Industry to the Cyprus Economy and Society in general.
