Since 2006, this initiative has successfully connected students with vessels and seafarers, offering unique insights into the maritime world. More than 350 classes from 85 schools and about 90 vessels annually participate, with coordination by the Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association (CYMEPA). The programme has been adopted by other countries and recognised internationally as a best practice in maritime education.
First organised in 2018, this event offers potential marine and maritime students and prospective students, valuable guidance, networking opportunities and direct contact with industry professionals.
CSC representatives regularly visit schools and academic institutions to introduce students to the diverse and rewarding careers the shipping industry offers. To date, more than 300 presentations have been delivered to schools and universities across Cyprus.
